Frontier is an adventure/RPG game that revolves around trading goods between cities. You must be prepared to defend yourself and you can hire goons as well as upgrade your means of transportation. There are two warring factions and you must choose your allegiance.
You can travel from 50 different cities and buy anything from Coal to Narcotics and the amount you can carry varies from the storage you have. To increase this you need to upgrade your vessel which is anywhere from "On Foot" to "A huge Ship".
You can buy vessels that can hold from 30 units to 150 units of any type of goods and 1-5 passengers that can fight for you and increase skills like Trade, Attack, Defense and Travel. You can buy goods from one city and travel to another city where the price is higher and sell the goods there in order to profit.
The goods marked * are considered Illegal Goods
All prices Vary on Town/City. For example, you could buy 2 Diamonds for $7,881 each and sell them for $12,236 at a nearby town.

The party members available for hire varies from town to town and there are many different people to hire. Each person requires wages and the price per trip varies on the person. You have to pay them in advance before you travel. They can come in handy when taking over a city.

There are 2 guilds you may join. The Enforcers serve as a Police force. If they pass you while traveling they will ask to search you. You can Accept, Flee or Attack. When they search you they will punish you for having any illegal goods with you. The Buccaneers are raiders which may attack and loot you while traveling. Joining the Enforcers is a much harder quest than joining the Buccaneers.
