Gameplay[]

Battalion: Skirmish is a strategy game where you maneuver military units on a grid and the goal is to defeat the enemy units. The game is turn-based and each unit can move a certain number of spaces in a turn. Every unit type is strong against some units and weak against others, establishing a rock-paper-scissors system.

The game is meant as a sneak peek and only has one level. It introduces the newest unit, the Warmachine, which is a mobile command base. It can harvest resources, build new units or shoot at the enemy.

The mission[]

The goal of the level is to prevent the Warmachine, the new backbone of the Northern Federation forces, from falling into the hands of the traitor General Mullen of the Akadians. The player is given two Scorpion Tanks, a Rocket Truck and four Albatross Transports. The Warmachine is blocked in by four enemy blockades and the player has to break it free.
