- Blood Vial When Cornelius is switched out at an appropriate moment, he may benefit from Blood Vial and regenerate quickly.
- Gem of Souls Cornelius can easily kill many cards with Pilebunker. A matter of taste.
- Ring of Curses As Cornelius is not brought down easily, he may benefit from this item as well.
- Necronomic Tome All of his attacks are dark/physical, making Necronomic a great card to keep Cornelius in the game longer (and perhaps finish off just about everything with Pilebunker).
- Phylactery It may provide you with one more chance to Pilebunker, or Voidstream. A matter of taste.

- General's Insignia: Not as effective as on other characters because it only affects Pilebunker, which has a chance to do extra damage anyway.
- Girdle of Iron Will: Useful for Pilebunker.
- Stoneheel Totem: Due to the versatility of Voidstream, switching ranges with this item can frustrate one-rangers.
- Yellow Rock of Cowards: Use if it suits your playstyle.
- Mindreader's Chalice: People may switch to avoid Pilebunker. Use if it suits your style.

Cornelius is a very strong character in general. He can reflect any slow enemy's attack by using Hypnotic Stare. Pilebunker is intimidating at close range. Voidstream is an always-available, 100% hit move which is effective against most other characters (except Vampires).

- Has a powerful move - Pilebunker, which can deal up to 70 damage and can be done after a range change.
- Voidstream (Cornelius Constantine) is an easy-spammable move, consecutive Voidtreams deal more damage.
- Is effective against most characters and has no hard counters.
- Can reflect attacks.

- Low light-defense.
- His attacks are relatively slow.
